Trainee Administrator Custodian Trustee Guernsey
Job DescriptionOur client is a private bank and wealth management company seeking to recruit a Trainee Administrator, Custodian Trustee. Overall role purpose: To assist in the checks performed to ensure compliance of their duties as Custodian Trustee to Guernsey Regulated Funds. Key responsibilities will include: • Monitor regulatory activities of each Fund to ensure that they comply with the applicable laws, rules, regulations and guidance notes for regulated schemes and the Fund’s principal documents. • To assist with the share dealing process. • To assist the Custodian Trustee team in their daily duties, completing their own independent monthly, quarterly and half-yearly checks on the valuation packs provided by the Administrators (including the scanning/ profiling of documents.) • To assist with the gathering of minutes and board packs after each board meeting, scanning and profiling these documents in I manage. • Assist with the preparation and conduct of the Section’s Regulatory on-site visits to the Designated and Principal Managers of their regulated business. • To familiarise yourself with and review on an ongoing basis the rules relating to the schemes types to which they act as Custodian Trustee to keep informed of any changes/proposed changes to such Rules. The successful candidate will have: • Basic knowledge of the rules and GFSC guidance notes applicable to the Collective Investment Scheme business in Guernsey. • Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. • Willingness to learn from attending courses, both internal and external, with initial on the job training. • System knowledge/experience to be provided: T24 and BM+ and all relevant systems, Excel and Word, CMO, IDS and Bloomberg.
