Temporary Receptionist Administration, Guernsey
Job DescriptionOur client, owned and run by a local family with a highly motivated team of professionals, specialising in the sale, rental and management of residential property in Guernsey is seeking to recruit a temporary candidate to undertake reception/telephone/administration duties. The length of this role is circa 6 months which requires a week’s trial commencing next week (if possible) with a view to possibly taking the successful candidate for about 6 months (depending on work flow). Key responsibilities will include: • Manning reception desk • Meeting and greeting clients who come into the office and dealing with enquiries that they may have i.e. properties on their books to rent, buy, current housing situation/housing license • Answering the telephone, making appointments for viewings/valuations/take-ons and liaising with vendors of property to gain access • Checking emails as they come in and responding if necessary • Typing detail sheets for sending out to vendor, together with an agency letter • Preparing Under one Roof, one page per month before the deadline (16 properties), checking proof and amending. GSY Property and GSY Life double page spread once a month for each (32 properties) • Ordering office stationery / Letter heads/ Comps slips/photocopier supplies • Payment of invoices • Prepare window cards/PDF details/Enter details and pictures on website • Downloading photographs • Ensuring the website, window cards and reception book are kept up to date • Updating the key register and returning keys/sending to Advocates where necessary • Printing out property brochures for files to ensure a good stock is there at all times • Submitting photocopier readings to Sigma at the end of the month The successful candidate will be: • A bright school leaver, preferably an A level. • Candidates must be a reliable quick learner with a pleasant and enthusiastic personality who will be prepared to work well with in a small team. • Be computer literate in all aspects especially Microsoft Word/Microsoft Outlook, training will be given for Adobe Acrobat/Website. • Excellent people skills in person and on the telephone. • Be able to work under pressure during busy times. • Flexibility to support other areas if necessary during holidays and sickness.
