Systems Administration and Support Trainee, Guernsey
Job DescriptionOur client is a funds and fiduciary services company seeking to recruit a Systems Administration and Support Trainee. Key responsibilities will include: ? Liaise with teams regarding systems/reporting requirements and produce routine reports on a regular basis. ? Learn how to draft functional specifications, design and develop reports for Core Systems. ? Liaise with senior management regarding strategic operational issues. ? Assist the team to maintain data integrity in core databases and perform regular review for completion. ? Provide day to day support to staff for all systems used and contribute to the development of Core Systems to maximise the efficiency of the processes. ? Assist the team in ensuring procedures are properly documented, followed and frequently reviewed and improved where required. ? Maintain user profiles, passwords and licences in various applications. ? Liaise with the Team and Group I.T. Dept. regarding: operating system and hardware requirements. ? Work with the Team on the oversight of the business continuity process as it applies to Core Systems. ? Manage the Team Helpdesk. ? Maintain updates to company intranet pages. The successful candidate will have: ? Knowledge of SQL and SQL Server technology, XML, SSRS, Visual Studio, Excel Macros/Visual Basic an advantage. ? Knowledge of financial services business/accounting an advantage. ? Knowledge of database management or application support/training. ? Strong Microsoft Office skills essential including advanced Excel. ? Excellent organisational and planning skills to reduce/avoid operational pressures.
