Senior Specialist Transaction Officer Guernsey
Job DescriptionOur client is a private bank and fiduciary services company seeking to recruit a Senior Specialist Transaction Officer. Key responsibilities will include: • A professional person is required to join small team that is responsible for overseeing the booking of new and referred business from the global bank’s group into Guernsey entities • The business includes large capital raising transactions for the group, as well as product issues and fund and exchange investments • The work covers business meetings, company control, document reviews, department approval co-ordination, board minutes, deal completion and arranging bookings and payments • The work is complex and varied, low volume high value with some key deadlines to be met. • Attention to detail is required along with liaison with subject matter experts and the ability to analyse and deliver the local requirements of a project. • The successful candidate will be self-assured and confident in dealing with external lawyers and members of senior management of the group in Guernsey, London, Zurich and New York. • The successful candidate will ensure that good corporate governance is exercised and will keep the controllers of the Guernsey entities appropriately apprised of transactions referred for consideration from elsewhere in the group. This will include the ability to analyse transactions and present a summary of the local implications so that core issues are quickly and easily highlighted. The successful candidate will have: • 10 or more years’ experience in the international finance sector which will include working in or closely with the fiduciary sector for a significant period. • ICSA/STEP or ACCA/ACA or equivalent qualification • Have completed at least two years at VP grade or above.
