Senior Fund Administrator, Guernsey
Job DescriptionOur client is a fiduciary services company seeking to recruit a Senior Fund Administrator. This position requires a person who is either professionally qualified or working towards a qualification (in fund administration or accounting) with a strong practical knowledge and understanding of property, private equity and alternative fund administration. He/she will be involved in the management of the day to day operation and servicing of an identified number of Company?s clients. The successful candidate will report to a Fund Administration Manager and will work closely with the Company?s Fund Accountants and the Directors in charge of the relevant relationships. Key responsibilities will include: ? To work closely with the accounting team to ensure that the bookkeeping and accounting arising from all transactions, and in particular the investment transactions, are performed in a timely and accurate manner and provide such support and guidance as is necessary to ensure that this objective is constantly met. The relationship with the accountants must be interactive. ? To calculate and pay, on behalf of the fund and other entities, all fees and expenses payable, in accordance with the Company?s agreed procedures. ? To arrange approval and payment of all invoices received, in accordance with the Company?s agreed procedures. ? To ensure that each structure?s cash is held in accordance with the constitutive documentation appropriate cash management policies and service level agreements. ? To reconcile bank accounts, in accordance with agreed procedures and follow up outstanding reconciling items. The successful candidate will have: ? Closed ended fund experience (essential). ? Considerable fund administration experience. ? Sound technical accounting knowledge and preferably a professional qualification or working towards one.
