Senior Company Secretary Guernsey or Jersey
Job DescriptionOur client is a private bank and wealth management company is seeking to recruit a Senior Company Secretary. This role is open for candidates who are either based in Guernsey or Jersey. Key responsibilities will include: • Provide timely company secretarial and governance support to the company’s Group of companies, including end to end organisation and administration of board meetings and board and senior management committees. • Provide advice to executive and non-executive directors and staff across the group on company secretarial and corporate governance matters, as appropriate. • Implement processes and procedures to ensure the highest standards and best practice are maintained. To maintain knowledge of all main functions within Secretariat and deputise for other staff members as required. • Develop strong relationships with senior management, compliance, risk, finance and tax departments across the Group and the wider company’s network to ensure that appropriate board reports and papers are generated. The successful candidate will have: • Proven company secretarial experience gained working at Board level for UK, Channel Islands and / or Gibraltar Companies • Ability to maintain the confidence of stakeholders at a senior level inside and outside the organisation. • Self-starter with a proactive and flexible approach to their work, able to exercise a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in problem solving; • Good interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
