Job Description

Our client is a fiduciary services company seeking to recruit a Senior Business Analyst. Job Purpose & overall objective: Review, understand and document business processes with a view to ensuring all solutions are aligned with their business strategy, goals and objectives, including the effective application of technology to business problems and opportunities. Work closely with the various Business Units across the Group to capture business system objectives, evaluate the business case and define system requirements. Also work closely with the Software Development team; and any third party providers of Software used across the Group, to assist with the detailed design, testing and implementation phases of development and maintenance projects. Key responsibilities will include: ? Define the business problem or the opportunity, and contribute to the development of the business case. ? Define and document detailed business requirements. ? Ensure proposed software developments / solutions meet business requirements. ? Develop and maintain system generated reports (SQL & SSRS). ? Represent the various business units on the project development team to ensure solutions will meet business and system needs. ? Plan and develop the test strategy, risk analysis and test plan in conjunction with other stakeholders. ? Run the user acceptance test, ensuring the functional and business requirements are met. ? Provide training and post implementation support to all effected areas. ? Act as a business partner / key relationship lead with various business units across the group. ? Maintain relevant documentation. ? Fully support the business strategy. ? Provide support and show leadership values to other members of the Business Analyst team. ? Fully support and work within the corporate Project Governance framework. ? Strive to standardise and introduce economies of repetition / repeatable processes. ? Always represent the team in a professional manner. The successful candidate will have: ? Demonstrable experience within Business Analyst team / Change Management within the Financial Services sector. ? Demonstrable experience and knowledge in relation to Finance functions (e.g. time, billing, debt collection) to support business analysis work in relation to those functions. ? Experience in operating under a formal methodology would be advantageous, such as PRINCE2, ISEB / ISTQB, etc. ? Demonstrable knowledge of SQL and ability to develop and maintain system generated reports. A working knowledge of SSRS would be beneficial. ? Strong analytical reasoning ability. ? Experience of Microsoft Dynamics / Touchstone NAV platform would be advantageous.
