Job Description

Our client is a large insurance company seeking to recruit a Senior Accounting Manager. Key responsibilities will include: • Overall responsibility for the accounting and reporting activity involving regular interaction with various stakeholders: • Provide positive leadership and steering of the team supporting the General Manager as required. • Professionally, efficiently and accurately manage all inward and outward communications. • Final review and release of management accounts, trial balances and financial statements to IFRS standard. • Collaborate and guide team to ensure appropriate accounting treatment of contractual obligations. • Deal with team members’ development including recruitment, training, development, appraisals, etc. • Attend Board Meetings, including the presentation of accounting, investment and company secretarial matters to the Board. • Playing a key strategic role in ensuring the team follows the Office Procedures • Attend and participate in Senior Management Team meetings. The successful candidate will have: • A flair for numbers and ACCA/ACA or equivalent accountancy qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience in an accountancy or financial environment. • 5 years’ experience in the finance industry. • Strong IFRS Knowledge. • Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel in addition to exposure to at least one accounting software package.
