Job Description

Our client is an international bank seeking to recruit a Programme Management Officer (PMO). Overall role purpose: • The Programme Management Officer is responsible for ensuring the bank is delivering on their Change Programme. The role requires effective co-ordination of projects and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any budgets, risks and issues arising. It also includes the co-ordination of the changes to be embedded in Business as usual. • The role is a full time role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and is a key element of bank’s Change Management Board. • The role is crucial for creating and maintaining focus, enthusiasm and momentum. • A good understanding of how to apply Project and Programme Management methods is a key attribute. The successful candidate will have: • Experience in a similar position (ideal) however this role is also open for candidates who hold a strong Banking Operations background (and who don’t necessarily have experience of Programme / Project work) but are willing to study and work hard. • Ability to compile timely, relevant, concise documentation for presentation to the Change Board (Knowledge of Prince 2 and Agile methodology, or willingness to study required). • Experience of project management practice preferred.
