Job DescriptionOur client is a direct to consumer nutritional supplements company seeking to recruit a Procurement Supervisor. Profile of the role: The purpose of this role is to supervise and support the administrative procurement team in their day to day workload and ensure tasks are done efficiently and effectively. The supervisor will actively support the team and at the same time will need to consider the bigger picture. The supervisor will facilitate the organisation and communication of this team both internally and externally with suppliers and others and will be a decision maker and senior point of contact in the team. The role will require extensive use of Microsoft office, primarily outlook and excel, as well as Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system. The role requires some off-island travel to visit suppliers etc. which could include overnight stays. The successful candidate will have: • Supervise, train and develop the procurement administrative team • Project manage product changes and new product development, to ensure the smooth implementation of new products and product range development projects • Troubleshoot/problem solve all administrative/supply chain related problems to ensure adequate stock management • Facilitate communication with other business departments to ensure there is visibility on all • areas of product availability and planned marketing activity • Support and maintain healthy relationships with suppliers whilst ensuring the right outcomes when dealing with such matters as quality complaints or stock pressures The successful candidate will have: • Previous relevant work experience in an office environment. • Previous successful track record supervising/managing people. • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, particularly to drive projects and chase priorities. • Diplomacy and negotiation skills to handle delicate situations with external suppliers and other people’s competing priorities. Desirable criteria: • Previous relevant work experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics’ or manufacturing. • Working knowledge/experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
