Job DescriptionOur client is a private bank and wealth management company seeking to recruit a Portfolio Manager. Overall role purpose: The job is to become a senior member of the Investment Management (IM) team in Guernsey. The team consists of 7 individuals who look after a book of 200+ discretionary clients with AuM of over USD1.5bn. This role requires active participation in deciding the portfolio asset allocation (to security level), running the current portfolios, providing efficient, accurate, timely and valued-added support to RMs in their role of managing current clients and attracting new clients and in contributing to the security selection process. Key responsibilities will include: • Assist in formulation of the locally decided implementation of TAA decisions at the portfolio level • Achieving and maintaining a good knowledge of the investment process, the TAA views, the portfolio construction and the individual securities in the portfolios • Engage in running and monitoring of portfolios • Efficient, accurate, timely and valued-added preparation of presentations/proposals for use by Portfolio Managers and RMs • Efficient, accurate, timely and valued-added regular and ad-hoc updates to RMs • Active involvement with Global IM research to enhance local knowledge and spread best practice • Active involvement in Investment Research, making recommendation on portfolio composition • Assist in recording and compilation of Management Information (e.g. NNA, PTI, pipeline) The successful candidate will have: • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience and be qualified to RDR Level • Ideally holds a CISI RDR Level 6 qualification, CFA or equivalent • Outgoing personality with a highly client service and quality oriented mindset • Must be passionate about the financial markets, and transmit this to colleagues and clients • Must have experience in, have ability at and enjoy securities (Funds, Equities, Bonds and Hedge Funds) analysis • Team player who creates synergies for the benefit of the local team and the clients For more information please email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call: +44 1481 723221.
