Job DescriptionOur client is the largest group of actuaries and consultants in the Channel Islands seeking to recruit an Assistant, Business Development. This role is also open for candidates who are either looking for full time or part time work. The level of the role is also flexible, from Assistant up to assistant manager level. Role: The duties of this role relate to assisting the Business Development team in business development and marketing activities for the whole of the company’s group. Key responsibilities will include: • Following up on documentation issued by administration team with a view to development of new business opportunities • General administration duties in relation to new business tenders • Helping with the on-boarding of new clients and ensuring SLAs are met • Assisting the Senior Manager, Business Development with their new business activities as directed • Acting as first point of contact for client enquiries and representing the company at face to face meetings • Tracking and updating new business from existing clients • Achieving the objectives and initiatives set by and agreed with the Senior Manager, Business • Development • Looking for opportunities to create new procedures, or improving existing processes based on a sound knowledge of all services offered by the group and its subsidiaries • Liaising confidently, professionally and knowledgably with clients on a daily basis • Assisting with matters relating to customer due diligence The successful candidate will have: • General office administration skills and experience essential. • GCSE English and Maths required. • Competent use of Microsoft Excel, Work and PowerPoint is essential. • Experience with selling financial services products, including pensions would be desirable but not essential. • Experience with dealing with clients face-to-face and on the telephone. • Evidence of commitment to professional development is important (a qualification in a marketing/business development area would be beneficial but not essential).
