Manager – Corporate & Personal Banking, Guernsey
Job DescriptionOur client is a private bank seeking to recruit a Manager - Corporate & Personal Banking. The overall purpose of the role is to manage a team of Relationship Officers which deliver excellent banking services to a portfolio of over 4,000 institutional, intermediary and wealthy (but ?non-criteria?) clients. Key responsibilities will include: ? Provide leadership and direction to the Private Banking Relationship team in the management of their client base, acting as point of escalation for technical and commercial questions ? Personally and through the Relationship Office team provide a high level of client service ? Optimise revenues through fee levels, product design and pricing. ? Design and implement the business development plans for Corporate & Personal Banking in line with the Bank?s business plan. ? Monitor the operations of the department to ensure that service levels, rules, regulations and Bank policies are adhered to, including but not limited to, the effective application of Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Client regulations and policies, awareness of transaction monitoring, and client take-on procedures and processes. ? Maintain an up to date understanding of all applicable laws, regulations and Bank policies to enable the review and maintenance of department procedures and the effective implementation of these in day to day operations. The successful candidate will have: ? A minimum of 5 years? experience in the banking services sector including client service and supervisory/management roles. ? Target oriented, with a record of meeting set objectives. ? Proven sales record and willingness to undertake sales and cross selling initiatives. ? Project management skills and proven track record leading a team. ? Strong interpersonal skills. ? A high degree of risk awareness and compliance orientation.
