IT Country Head Guernsey
Job DescriptionOur client is a private bank and fiduciary services company is seeking to recruit IT Country Head, Guernsey. This role has a dual purpose to work as IT Country Oversight for Guernsey and IT Support Head for IWM (International Wealth Management) UK IT. Overall role purpose: The IT Country Head for Guernsey provides a local oversight of the Guernsey IT organisation on behalf of IWM UK IT regional head and a contact/escalation point for the Private Banking business heads based in the Guernsey office. Key responsibilities will include: • Meeting IT regulatory and management needs and representing IT at various Guernsey Branch forums and committees. • The IT Country Head will work closely with the local Technology Services (TS) and Trust IT leads, but will not have direct management responsibility for them or their team members. • The focus of the Support team is to provide high quality support for business applications within London & Guernsey. • The management responsibilities lie with the development and management of the IT Support services being delivered to the London & Guernsey offices via internal teams and 3rd party service providers. This includes adherence to the bank IT procedures/policies and the use of the required the bank tool sets. • In addition, this role includes the management of the IT Risk and Access Management functions within IWM UK IT. • This involves management of all issues relating to user access requests, oversight of quarterly user access reviews, implementation of and adherence to information security policies, co-ordination of audit reviews and queries and the set up and management of Business Recovery plans and exercises. The successful candidate will have: • 10+ years’ IT Banking experience and strong experience in managing large teams and facing off to senior management and good Microsoft Office product skills. • A degree or professional qualifications (preferable). • Exposure to ITIL framework is essential and must have good user support and interface experience and experience with issue tracking software. • Knowledge of the Temenos T24 system would be preferable, but not essential.
