Job Description

Our client is the world’s fastest-growing and most diverse insurance manager seeking to recruit an ILS Team Manager. This is a full-time permanent role which offers fantastic progression opportunity for a part or fully qualified accountant who is looking to climb the ladder. Overview: To provide succession planning for the Director (Head of Guernsey’s ILS Team). Key responsibilities will include: Responsibilities • Attendance of the board meetings (potentially as a Director from the outset for the right candidate or with a view to joining the Board’s at a later date). • Membership of the underwriting committee’s and attendance at any/all meetings. • Review of Reinsurance Agreements and provision of feedback to the ILS Funds and Reinsurance Brokers. • Review of Reinsurance Trust Agreements or similar collateral documentation/agreements and liaison with the Reinsurance Broker and Trustee over any proposed amends. • Attendance at any/all client meetings, ILS conferences and business development meetings. • Review of the approx. 60 sets of cell management accounts (hoping to move these to half yearly rather than the current quarterly) and reporting these to the ILS Fund cell owners. • Preparation of PCC year-end accounts amalgamation exercise. • Preparation of PCC year-end financial statements and liaison with Auditors. • Preparation and submission of the Annual Return to the GFSC • Preparation of PCC board papers. • Production of board meeting minutes and underwriting committee meeting minutes. • Ensuring that any/all share issuance/redemptions and dividends/distributions are properly recorded and evidence. • Managing the relationships with the Trustee/Banking service providers. • Managing the outsourced relationship with the Group accountant. • Managing the relationships with the company’s accounts/administration teams. • Preparation of weekly cash reporting to the ILS funds where required. The successful candidate will have: • Proven working experience within an accounts and/or insurance environment. • Professional qualification.
