Job DescriptionOur client is a specialist fund solutions company seeking to recruit a Senior Relationship Manager - Investment. Overall purpose of the role: The purpose of this role is to manage the day to day relation management of their bespoke Fund Services in Guernsey, ensuring a high quality service is provided to all clients. The Head of relationship and commercial management will be responsible for managing and recruiting (as necessary to support growth) a high quality professional team capable of delivering the highest quality service within an appropriate risk and control framework. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Head of Fund Services in delivering the strategic vision for the funds services business and will be responsible for the seamless implementation of new business. The role has supervisory responsibilities over a small group, as well as being part of the board that manages the business. The head of relationship and commercial management in Guernsey will have responsibility for providing day to day management support and motivation to the entire team. The successful candidate will have: • Significant operational knowledge of all aspects of investment solutions (valuations, AML, investor reporting, tax, accounting etc.), having a solid background in fund accounting or wealth management. • An ability to manage complex tax planning solutions. • An excellent understanding of the regulatory environment in which regulated funds operate. • Experience of dealing with detailed Compliance and Risk issues within a business environment. experience of dealing directly with 1 or more fund regulator would be an advantage. • A good understanding of AML principles as they apply to pooled investment funds (clients and investors). • Clear understanding of accounting principles and the ability to apply this knowledge on a day to day basis. • Experience of leading and managing teams in a fund business or other relevant business including conducting thorough appraisals and overseeing development plans in line with the competency framework. • Client facing experience at a senior level. • Comfortable interacting with the most senior levels of management within the business.
