Job DescriptionOur client is a Stockbroking & Investment Management company seeking to recruit a Fund Operations Officer.
Overall purpose of the role:
Working in a key team within the business as this role is a transition from manual processes to a place where the majority of fund trades are executed and settled automatically.
The role has two main components. The execution and settlement of fund deals. This involves receiving orders from other teams, the timely instruction of those orders through the relevant channels and the oversight of the settlement by their clearing agent. This is presently a manual process however a key goal will be helping the project team to implement their new platform which will allow significant automation of many of the manual processes.
The second component involves liaising with the various parties, both internal and external, that are involved in the process of selecting, buying and holding funds, to answering queries and ensuring the smooth operation of the fund department at the company.
The successful candidate will be:
• Someone who has spent a few years working with funds and is looking for a job that offers scope for future growth in the world of investment management.
• As part of a team and based in Guernsey, the candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely execution and settlement of fund trades from across the group.
• A keen attention to detail and an interest in systems will be helpful as a key goal for the team going forward will be automating processes to help the business to continue to grow.
