Fund Accounting Manager Guernsey
Job DescriptionOur client is a funds administration services company seeking to recruit a Fund Accounting Manager. Overall role purpose: Manage the Fund Accounting Team and plan, control and oversee the fund client accounting process, ensuring that staff utilisation and targets are met and that all internal and regulatory requirements are adhered to. Liaise with other fund departments to ensure effective and efficient management of the fund client accounting function. Key responsibilities will include: • Prepare and review financial statements for all fund companies, limited partnerships and unit Trusts in accordance with accepted accounting and auditing standards. • Produce and review comprehensive accounting working papers for audit purposes • Maintain an up to date knowledge of industry and regulatory requirements • Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients and intermediaries by ensuring quality day to day service for client portfolio • Ensure adequate procedures are in place and executed to ensure client SLA are met, legal and regulatory requirements are fulfilled, client risk and losses are mitigated. • Ensure timely and accurate client deliverables • Contribute to management meetings when required and the enhancement /development of internal practices and procedures • Responsibility for ensuring timely completion of effective appraisals and objective setting. The successful candidate will have: • A relevant professional accounting qualification e.g: ACCA, ACA. • Demonstrated sound knowledge of the fund industry, fund accounting, recording of financial transactions, preparation of financial statements and relevant regulatory requirements (FRR, LRR rules and knowledge of Form 142 returns). • A proven track record of client service excellence, communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills. • The ability to drive and execute tasks and manage others to do so.
