Job DescriptionOur client is a direct to consumer nutritional supplements company seeking to recruit a Digital Optimisation Designer. This is not a particularly technical role, focusing as it does on the layouts and visual assets of landing pages, transactional funnels and marketing promotional pages and is therefore based in Marketing where these changes can be devised to deliver real business value. For this reason, a fascination with how the design of an environment affects customer behaviour is crucial. This role is also open for candidates who are willing to relocate to Guernsey as a licence will be provided by the employer. Profile of role: • The primary focus of this role is to deliver a constant flow of designs that test the customer- effectiveness of all pages on the website, or in emails and other assets that drive traffic to the website; to ultimately improve that effectiveness of every page, incrementally and repeatedly, with a continuous uplift in conversion and sales being the ultimate goal. • This includes execution of the web optimisation programme to drive conversion rate improvements, supporting email marketing. • The utilisation of design/optimisation tools, and adherence to any relevant standards is fundamental, as is a knowledge of usability and accessibility principles. • The Digital Optimisation Designer will not be a highly technical role, but will be expected to learn new concepts and utilise new tools for multivariate testing and others as required. • The role will be working in close harmony with the Optimisation Analyst and reporting into the Ecommerce Director. The successful candidate will have: • Minimum of HND (design) or equivalent level qualification is required, however relevant commercial knowledge may represent an acceptable equivalent • Online design experience, ideally with a broader design background, proficient in the use of Photoshop, Dreamweaver and any other design software including standard office productivity tools • Interest in industrial design and persuasive design techniques • Demonstrable competence to follow style guidelines and utilise CSS within an HTML development environment • A thorough understanding of usability and accessibility in relation to industry standards. • Some technical online knowledge • Ability to interpret a specific brief and deliver creative design solutions that fulfils expectations Desirable criteria: • Education to degree level in a subject relevant to the role would be an advantage.
