Job Description

Our client is a fiduciary services company seeking to recruit a Business Coordinator for their South African Market. The role primarily involves, but is not limited to, acting as initial point of contact and liaison for both pre-sale and post-sale relationships sourced via the Group’s South African operations or which relate to South African clients. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain a strong and efficient relationship with the Group’s sales force both within South Africa and worldwide in order to generate and maintain business for the Guernsey office. The role will necessitate a wide range of responsibilities, including dealing with sale and structuring enquiries, product development for the South African market, client relationship, assisting with research and projects and providing assistance to the legal and compliance teams. Duties will include: • Developing strategic ideas and proposal designed to retain business and generate revenue; • Maintaining a good working relationship with new and existing contacts, introducers and clients. • Maintaining and enhancing the relationship between the Guernsey office and the • South African operations of the Group. • Researching market trends and changes to legal, economic and political environment in South Africa and how these will impact upon existing business and products/solutions offered by the Group. • Identifying, researching, proposing and developing new product or solution opportunities that work from a South African perspective and which can be delivered from Guernsey. • Assisting with the preparation of promotional literature and product material. • Assisting the legal director in respect of legal and regulatory matters. • Fielding enquiries from the client-facing teams. • Assisting heads of departments with enquiries from introducers, investments houses and clients. • Researching relevant laws, regulations and guidance and providing accurate and succinct summaries. • Assisting the Compliance Department with AML, CFT and CDD issues. • Drafting, reviewing and approving documentation. The successful candidate will have: • Experience in the fiduciary services industry, having hands on exposure to Trust & Company administration and /or compliance. • Experience of liaising with external lawyers, accountants and other advisers (including financial advisers). • Experience of structuring for South African nationals (including trusts, companies, foundations and retirement- related vehicles). • Hold or be willing to study towards relevant professional qualifications and membership of professional body. • A strong working knowledge of the fiduciary environment in South Africa. • Thorough understanding of compliance and KYC, AML, CFT and ABC requirements.
