Job DescriptionOur client specialising in three client-facing areas: Trust and Corporate Services, Private Client Services and Fund Administration as well as the supporting functions is seeking to recruit an Accountant – Private Client Services. Role: Assist in the administration of a portfolio of, predominantly, private clients and their associated structures, undertaking the timely preparation of accounts for tax reporting purposes. The candidate will also have involvement in the day-to-day tax administration for those clients, as well as assisting in a variety of other tax reporting areas for client companies, funds, etc. Key responsibilities will include: • To prepare unaudited financial statements for client companies, primarily for tax reporting purposes. • To review, where appropriate, financial statements prepared by colleagues. • Whilst the primary focus of the role will be on client accounts preparation, there will also be an element of wider accounting/tax administration responsibilities, including assisting on client VAT reporting and reporting fund tax disclosures, as follows: • To undertake the day-to-day tax administration of clients, either personal, company or Trust, including ensuring timely completion of: • Guernsey and UK tax returns as appropriate; • Dealing with tax assessments, including submission of appeals where appropriate; • Daily tax related correspondence; • To assist in client VAT reporting as well as VAT registration work and related ad hoc matters • Supervise and assist junior members of the department, where appropriate • Assist in or undertake additional ad hoc projects as and when required The successful candidate will have: • Relevant previous experience. • ACCA or other relevant professional qualification.
