Job DescriptionOur client is a family office, an estate and inheritance planning consultancy is seeking to recruit an accountant. Purpose of the role: The purpose of the role is to provide bookkeeping and accounting services to the group. Key responsibilities will include: • Preparation of financial statements for entities managed by the company’s group and the maintenance and preparation of all related schedules and additional supporting information. • Monitoring, maintaining and updating entities managed by the group’s financial records. • Monitoring, maintaining and updating company’s Guernsey’s financial records as and when required. • To correspond both on the phone and via email with the client accounting team at Bahamas. • Preparation and review of monthly management information relating to Group entities. • Preparation and review of VAT and Tax returns for both entities managed by the company’s Group and Group entities. • Preparation of regulatory returns (GFSC annual returns) and tax reporting (FATCA and • CRS). • Acting as authorised B signatory for the Guernsey office including authorisation of payments and preparation of cheques in accordance with procedures. • Such other duties as may be assigned from time to time. The successful candidate: • At least 3 years of experience in the Trust and Company administration industry is required. • It is preferable for the candidate to either have accounting qualifications (CAT qualified or part ACA/ACCA qualified) or be qualified through experience. • Excellent Computer skills (Microsoft excel), it is preferable that the candidate has some experience with 5Series. • Experience in drafting and reviewing financial statements.
